Great job, seen that thing in real. It did better than I could ever have imagined. Funny to see it on youtube now aswell. Oyeah and BigGreenFellow, that little dance you do when you catch the ball, it still makes me laugh xD

hehe well.. I always got big ideas for things to do. Dunno if they will ever be transformed into actual actions LOL

Very good job, guys. :D
Are you thinking of making some other catapults?

Hehe Great vid. I should know. I'm the other guy that made the onager here hehe. Spear, glad you finally managed to upload it ;)
As to the wheels, well, the natural sized ones where usually constructed 'on site', so eventhough some did have wheels, they didn't push the really huges ones about. They come in different sizes too.. The original was actually pretty small.
Yeah, it definitely stands firm. :D But I think natural-sized ones had wheels, otherwise it would have been very difficult to move them... XD
I have tried to make my own Onager with LEGO, and I have now a small but pretty good Onager with wheels... but I have problems with uploading for the video!

Indeed, it would be very, very difficult x) We know, and ours isn't by far as big as those things.
I saw two of your video's (the one with the Trebuchet and the one with the crossbow). They're pretty cool! :D I'd like to see your Onager video, when you got it uploaded.
We build our onager this big, because we could. We had our own workplace (at the building company where my dad works) and we were allowed to use all the things we needed for free! :)
Btw, thanks for the comments! ;)

Nice machine... but I thought Onagers had wheels... or they don't?

Yeah, some have. But our doesn't ;), cause we couldn't find wheels that were appropriate for our Onager. So now each time we have to lift the whole thing in order to move it. It does stand firm tough ;P
