well i guess an xt live could solve the complaints i have at my house. I was wondering though if you need a mixing desk or can you just route it through the computer sound card?

it has a usb port on it that you can plug into the computer with, it acts as a separate soundcard if you do that. or you can just plug some headphones into the headphone socket on the pod, or you could run a mini stereo to large jack cable between the pod and your computers line in port :) theres no need for a mixing desk

so do you have a monitor of some sort? or do you actually hear the effects without an amp?

well i plug mine into my mixing desk and it just comes out of my computer speakers or headphones the way i have it set up usually.. i can route it through an amp as well if i want to, but no need usually except at gigs :)

its just a line 6 pod xt live, no amp.. direct to the mixing desk :)
