GOP Sen. John Eichelberger on LGBT couples: "We're allowing them to exist."

State Senator Daylin Leach (D) tries to talk sense, but Eichelberger just gets more and more outrageous in his bigotry.

  • Eichelberger must resign. Didn't we have enough with Santorum?

  • Sooo.... are we going to have a fertility test for heterosexual couples who want to get married? Early hysterectomy - sorry, no husband for you!

  • Funny how gays, lesbians and transgendered people all have straight parents

  • @BlackRepublican2010 There is no choice. I had no choice. Did you choose to be straight? How can you call homosexuality "abnormal" when heterosexuality is, and neither are a choice. Your repulsive argument is a complete disgrace to humanity. You are the corrupt in this world, you are abnormal; and there is no normalizing abnormal no matter how hard YOU try!

  • right on!

  • There's no normalizing abnormal no matter how hard they try.

  • You cannot argue something is a right if it is not fundamentally good for the body.

  • Everyone deserves dignity & respect & but people who sincerely oppose this lifestyle have a right to speak up. The facts are that sex between a man & a woman lowers stress levels, highers immunity levels & gives off natural chemicals. A woman's uterus knows her own husband's sperm & when she orgasm's her uterus is naturally perparing for sperm. This is no comparison to same sex acts. If they were okay, the body would react in the same natural manner. It would be good for the body & it's not.

  • I really think people are taking this totally out of context. He's probably, like most people who don't like gays, under the impression that people "turn" gay or "go" gay. He's saying that gays are allowed to be gay, like "we allow gays to exist" as opposed to "we force everyone to be straight". Not "we allow gays to exist" as opposed to "we exterminate them". It's still a ridiculous statement, but it's not the genocidal warspeech people are making it out to be.

  • Eichelberger is probably so far back in the closet that he's finding still-hidden Christmas presents from 1973.

  • Keystone Progress is mounting a serious and firm response to the open bigotry of Sen. Eichelberger. Everybody should listen to the audio of the show at the WHYY website (click Radio Times and search for the June 19th show) to get a sense of the full, grotesque scale of this outrage and then go right over to the Keystone Progress website and make a donation. PLEASE TAKE ACTION.
