  • This is FANTASTIC violin playing. The crappiness stems entirely from the moronic sound engineers. Has nothing to do with Rabin's playing

    A. Serafini, Prof of Violin, Centenary College

  • The sound quality is harsh but still representative of Rabin's sound. Kyung-Wha Chung later owned this same violin for many years and sounded much the same. Very strong-sounding fiddle.

  • Is the woman crying at 2:00 the same woman crying 20 or so years earlier in the Heifetz Tchaikovsky mvt 1 (8:40)?

  • woah, wtf, how did he vibrato that open g string at 4:50

  • I want his violin...

  • I have to keep rewinding the descending blurs at 8:35 to believe how clear he makes every note. Tchaikovsky = No challenge for Michael Rabin

  • Yes, it can be very dangerous to be a virtuoso!!

  • effortless genius

  • oh my... fantastic. His friend, my ♥Mom, Nadia Koutzen, played this beautifully also. ♪ ♥ ♪♪

  • I have listen to many records of great violonists or other great pianists, and is it possible that only the jews nationality can succed to be a "the top musiscian"? I have nothing against judes but I just think about it!?... I heared about Stefan Milenkovic who was one the best of his generation , and he had to change his religion to "be at the top". ????
