muse - citizen erased on guitar

played on a 6 string guitar, E string tuned to A but had to tune it back up to E halfway through the solo to be able to play the last part with the open chords.

its a bit scrappy, but thats probably because my guitar isnt used to being in A.

How did you deal with the E string being so loose when you tuned it to an A. Do you use a thick E string, like .54?

@MegaLindt yeah, i thnk the string i use are the ernie ball skinny top heavy bottom ones... the E is thicker than standard, but lower strings are still manageable

just find out exactly where they are by playing all harmonics around that area and then you'll know :) i know theres a lot of nodes around that area, but its easy enough once youve found them

The harmonics become much easier as the gain on the amp is increased. I can't even get a good one out of my Peavy amp but when I use my Crate, which has much more gain, they pop right out. Hope it helps.
