HGV Driver does another fid vid ! - Parisienne Walkways

Parisienne Walkways is a great tune so my apologies to those who think it should have been left with Gary Moore's guitar. I did the backing track for this about 15 years ago for a guitarist friend (hey Joe!), and have just edited it down to a less indulgent length when I realised that this tune works quite well for someone of limited ability on the fid! I've got to say (before anyone else does) that the sound quality on this one has come out pretty badly -- the camera mic didn't like some of the frequencies : ( The hi-hats sound like woodblocks for some reason. The Violectra is played through a Boss GT-6 pedalboard.
Frustrated guitarist? Hardly -- I tried the guitar but it wasn't as comfy under my chin.

Super skilled but I'm not sure that was the song to highlight your skill or maybe it was the key. I'm a big fan of the violin and listen to Ed Alleyne Johnson.

Fair comment - I only used this song because I'd done the backing track of it for a guitarist friend many years ago. My English teacher back in Liverpool in the 1970s was Mr Johnson - Ed Alleyne's father! He later told me that his son had been inspired by watching me play in recitals. I probably had a school violin with a Barcus Berry pick-up at the time, and regularly played it through a fuzz-box... I'm glad that Ed was inspired to be a lot more refined!

Thanks! It's just through a Boss GT-6 effects processor (mainly for guitarists). Then plugged straight into the computer system and Tannoy active speakers. I'd like to come out with a clever excuse for the intonation not being too precise, like I couldn't hear the violin over the backing track, but truth is I'm just not practising enough nowadays!
