@JTerrible63 when they had the cream reunion eric used a fender guitar like derek and the dominoes it just didnt sound as ballsy as the gibson guitars he used with the cream the audiance wants to hear that screaming feedback you know

@JTerrible63 YEP---I JUST HEARD LAYLA'S END AGAIN, SO I'M LIKELY WRONG DUE TO THAT EPIC TENDERNESS NOT PRESENT IN CREAM, OR ? THE FINALE OF LAYLA IS SO ROMANTIC THAT CLAP WAS WROMG TO SAY STAND BY ME WAS BEST LOVESONG EVER, NOPE IT WAS HIM & DUANE..

NO DOMINOS SONG CAN TOUCH EITHER THE SONG MELODIES LIKE SUNSHINE, ULYSSES, NSU, NOR CAN TOUCH THE PLAYING OF CREAM. HENDRIX THOUGHT IN 1968 CREAM WAS "THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD"---& fell silent about the quaint Blind Faith (apt name beyond measure) or the tepid, soggy Derek, but then again when ERIC'S MODEL WAS FREDDIE KING: he apsired to heights, & when JJ CALE was his model, well, mr Cale is the greatest under-achiever in musical history, jamming and improv lasts 23seconds, O the LABOR

well, it's not like it's bad, atleast it shows they make good lyrics on spot, and then make those lyrics into good music

So its a car song like 409 .

In my mid-60s mid teenage naivety I wondered what this song had to do with NSU mopeds until someone told me it was about non-specific urethritis...

Don't worry, I didn't have a clue either at the time.
