Gotta say, this is the only recording of this piece that makes motivic sense of the 16ths in m.2, not to mention illuminating the structural use of the figure thoughout the piece. Amazing to me that so few others bother to actually play it like it's clearly notated! S's use of agaogic accents are simply stunning. The 4th movement suffers a little for want of sheer physical force toward the end, but this otherwise quickly becoming my reference standard for the work.
