this is right if you hear the original track at the beginning where Marty is doing the intro. look at his hands.

hey, i have no doubt that the chords you use could be right. i learnt the song myself, so i know i'm definitely not playing it the way hillsong does :)

Excellent. That's it! Thanks so much. Only one minor thing. I think my theory knowledge on this is right... The A is an Asus2 because there is no third (Db). The B notes, G string 4th fret and B string open, are the second note of the scale. A major is made up of A, Db, E - the 1st 3rd and 5th notes of the scale. Aadd2 would be A, B, Db, and E, adding the second note of the scale. Suspending (not playing) the 3rd makes it a sus2 chord.
Now I have to get my fingers to make some new shapes

Thanks for posting the video with the intro to Now that You're Near. What chords are you playing?
I play:
C#m A E B - C#m A E B barre chords (which sounds right)
Looks like you are fingering in different and it sound better than when I do it...
Then for the instrumental part I play:
E F#m E/G# A2 - E F#m E/G# A2
This part does not sound right to me. I know that E is right, the F#m probably right, the E/G# does not sound right, the A is fine.
HELP!
