V e o h . c o m (no spaces) has the Shion vids.
As for manga, there is Hachi-one diver which is both a manga and a non anime video series (hard to find, I needed torrents and knowledge of .sit files (has the english subs). DVD can be bought though for around $20 I think. Finally, there is 3 Gatsu no Lion at mangareader . net (no spaces again)....YTube dont like links so I needed spaces.

You can find the Shion vids with english subs at v e o h . c o m (i had to use spaces else ytube zaps it). Anyway, they have all episodes and you can even download them if you use their player (free).

"Shion No Oh " best anime completely based on shogi. it has a good story build around it aswell

The only one I've ever watched was Shion no O (though I think I only watch maybe half of it). It was a nice enough anime and had the characters playing matches quite often though it didn't focus on the games all that much if I remember correctly. A couple others came up on a google search but I have no knowledge of them so I won't comment.

Hi Hidetchi. I just wanted to thank you for all your videos. I am a new Shogi player and these are very helpful to me. I guess Shogi is more popular in Japan then Go, but outside of Japan, its nearly impossible to find any Shogi information in english. Thanks again!!
