Petey the Puppy's cartoon was awesome. That one I havent seen in years, there was also a version where they added a puppy with huge ears that could fly, his name was Glider.
They may yet put them on dvd JMF, because the Scooby Doo/Richie Rich Show was a dual ownership of Hanna Barbera and Ruby Spears as well and that's on DVD.
Im not sure about that cuz I got the DVD for season 1. not unless thats on season 2's DVD. Thats weird cuz both cartoons were HB. I remember the scooby scrappy & yabba doo aired on USA back in 94 before the cartoon network took over. They showed HB RS & Worldvision(Red Screen) SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!!!
Richie Rich (like Casper and the other Harvey Comics characters) are owned by Classic Media and are easier for Warner Bros. to clear for DVD release than the Puppy cartoons (the estate of the woman who created the books that series is based on won't clear them for DVD release, never mind reruns).
As someone else said, RR was a H-B show. Anyway I made a bad joke: they won't release it, not because of dual ownership, but because they want to erase anything that starred Scrappy from existence. (Yes, RR/SD is an exception...but nothing else has come out, and in the '80s movies he DID appear in, they do NOT picture him NOR mention him by name on the box!)
