Was the continuous put-put-put heard from the beginning, an air compressor used to start the big Fairbanks, or was it another engine running in the background?
Thanks.

damn I'd love an engine like this to run my soon-to-be-built saw mill ;)

It's running on natural gas.

Turn the engine to the top of the power stroke, open the gas and flip the ignitor...it's easy when you're running on battery ignition.

thanks. neat to see it driving a 2 piston pump

ok thanks

This is a Model NB, 60 HP. It was built in 1914, and used until 1947.

I didn't check the model, and can't match it up in my Gas Engine book by Wendel. I plan to go to the October show, and will get that info for you and post it for you.

I was amazed when it fired off on the first attempt. They will be running it again during the October show at Boonville, IN.
