the camera itself is brilliant ......However all is not as good regarding the mountings they are not strong enough and on my surfboard they break......but it is supposed to be an action camera .... action cameras uk sent me replacements but they also broke ...the file that the camera produces cannot be edited by any windows software so you have to convert to a different readable file before editing (thankfully as mentioned before you can delete in camera via the lcd playback ...the ones you dont want )..Apparently if you have a mac you can edit it straight away....now Ive got it sorted its not a problem...but it was when I first bought the camera...the customer support from Oregon uk is rubbish...they didnt know how to convert the file,, and they dont know where to buy spare mountings,, or have an answer to my problem of the broken mounts

They now sell replacement mounting kits for about 15.00 it's cheap enough but I would rather have something that won't break by looking at it.

@MarkJonesRanger tAfter two replacement original mounting clamps I gave up using the ones supplied with the camera they just were not up to the job the mounting that I made as a replacement nearly a year ago is still going strong which couldnt be said for the camera has which has also had to be replaced as it developed a fault as well....I should have bought the Go Pro with the new LCD fitted to the back...I wont be buying anything else from Oregon....

The ATC9K is very bad camera. Oregon scientific says that it's for extreme sports but it is not at all well, I've broken the support ring just with movements. The accessories are toys suck. after 5 months of use the LCD screen remains blank (white) I had to spend 32 euros to send it to Oregon

@MarkJonesRanger :o( frustrating isnt it. We paid 200 for a camera that cant be fixed, the camera is made for extreme use so one would expect it to break and need to be fixed at some point, I should have bought a Go Pro

apparently the remote is waterproof to 1 metre but i wouldn't want to test it :)
