i think the answer should be 2. why you ask? because: you said YOU (witch is one preson) said you met a MAN (2 PEOPLE) on your way to whatever, and you said he had 7 wifes,each wife has 7 sacks, each sack had 7 cats,each cat has 7 kittens. BUT that doent mean that they were all there because he told you and for the fact that you said ''ON MY WAY TO ST.LVES'' so the man must be going to the sames place.
