the way I hear it, hes not really saying that. Do you agree with the rest of his points though?

  • Ok John, so you are advocating the government decides what we eat and how we excercise! People are too stupid to watch what they eat on their own & to lazy to excercise so you want government mandates enforcing them to do this? No more Coke or Pepsi, Pizza, hamburgers, french fries or what ever our elected representatives feel is unhealthy? There is no incentive John great enough for me to allow you to make any of these choices for myself. You cannot control freewill it will end badly!

  • Thank God, someone has intelligently articulated the real health care problem in a manner everyone can understand.

Send this to everyone you know!

  • Amazing statement. Everyone must hear the message contained herein, particularly President Obama. Kitzhaber should have been appointed HHS Secretary!

  • Dear Dr. Kitzhaber: Fellow Americans do not seem to be listening to us. As an emergency physician, you know how important it is to have immediate access to patients with bacterial meningitis, pneumonia, tubal pregnancy and the acute abdomen. In order to effect change, Im taking my works live, through art, acting and models. The insurance system, as you know, is opposed to the right thing while General Motors is going bankrupt in part due to health care costs. Keep up your work!
