@nmothin es un piano digital no fue hecho para que tenga órgano, se tuviera órgano no se llamaría piano digital.

can you tell me the electric piano you played at 2.26 mins into the video on the yamaha cp5.does the cp1 have a much better sounding acoustic piano than on the cp5.

What is the name of the song he plays at the end ? so sweet !

so? if the v-piano has no sampling so is sound better? just need to listen and compare what is sound better and what's feel more fun to our hand :)

@cosmicjazzer wooden keys. thats it.
-
@manofmusicproduction yes indeed, and the v piano is for pianists, concentrated only in acoustic pianos, but its a pro tool in what it is for

the v piano pwns the cp1!!! well, at least in piano sounds, and the v piano is overpriced, but for me its well worth it (:
but the rd700gx has the VK organ modeler built in WITH drawbar control and all the key editing features. this does not have any organ or clavs. you need the next model up for that. this has wood keys which are cool but if they feel anything like yamaha piano action its nothing to write home about. i guess it will all come down to preference. the next model up has a lot from the motif series too, so it may be a better value.

@nmothin The closest to RD700gx is going to be the S90XS. CP1 is the flagship, then CP5 with more sample-based sounds. You're still totally right though and comparing instore is the best way.

and also on the V piano there is no sampling, no recorded sounds. the cp1 piano sound is a sample at hear then they use modeling to liven it up by letting you adjust things like sympathetic resonance, hammer hardness, etc. but at the end of the day its like every other sample based piano only with more stuff to smooth it out. I feel like this is yamahas answer to the roland rd 700gx so when this hits the stores we can compare them. the rhodes sound i can tell is better already.

@nmothin There is sampling in the Vpiano. Don't believe vpiano is 100% virtual, because its not. You're right though, best thing to do is compare instore.

V piano only does 'traditional piano'. CP1 does electric pianos and vintage electric sounds too.
