I know your comment is really old but, it's probably your RAM that's the problem. 1.5 GB of RAM isn't spectacular (I've heard about computers that STILL have 512 MB), and fluid simulation needs a LOT of RAM. It also needs a lot of hard drive space.

umm there is something weird with my computer, I have 1,5 GB of RAM and a 3 GHZ P4 HT. If I try to bake any resolution higher than 175, Blender crashes. and if I try to bake a 175 res fluid with particles, Blender crashes too.

i have a 405 resolutioon liquid, the whole computer crashed after rendering 2 seconds of the video :D lol

Well this one was rendered with blender internal renderer but ambient occlusion was enabled so there are these smooth shadows and the everything is pretty bright...
Without ambient occlusion the tunnel would be darker and the light wouldn't be so evenly distributed.
The light source was in the tunnel yea...
