Metroid Prime Part 1 - The Space Pirate Frigate

For Metroid's 25th anniversary, I knew I wanted to do a playthrough of Metroid Prime, the game that introduced me to the world and lore of Metroid. Yes, like many Metroid Prime was my first exposure to the series. However, I am glad it was. It introduced me to a rich atmosphere the likes of which I had never seen before, and eventually led me to play most of the other games in the series.

As time would pass I would study Metroid's story, characters, and worlds with the level of devotion I give to the Zelda series. It was all thanks to Metroid Prime that I was awakened to such fantastic worlds. The opening of the game still gives me chills even to this day. I can still remember when I first played through the Space Pirate Frigate at a demo station in EB Games before it became Gamestop. I instantly bought the game shortly after.

So now I return to the fabled Frigate once again, this time to celebrate Metroid's 25 anniversary. I intended to put up a playthrough on the day of the anniversary, but it just happened to fall during the anime convention, where I was very busy. I wore this around the convention though:

Oh, and about my comment about the next game I play being in widescreen. Well, I will tell all of you this. It was one of the target games of Operation Rainfall. I said that before I figured out Nintendo planned on being stubborn. I will continue to fight for its release alongside everyone else. Funny that its fate is in the hands of our friends at Europe. I will definitely record a playthrough of it if it makes it. In the meantime though, please enjoy this playthrough. I made it widescreen and turned off most of the HUD so everyone can enjoy the scenery.
