The opening few minutes of the unbroadcast pilot episode of Vic Reeves Big Night Out. This pilot was made by Channel X in 1989. The "Let's Have a Sniff of it" song was later used at the end of Reeves and Mortimer's later "Smell Of" series. Enjoy.

Superb! What a rarity!

Never seen this before. Such a shame it wasn't included on the Big Night Out DVD release, along with the New Years Eve special.  Very poor from C4..

wow..great post..didn't realise this is where the theme for 'the smell of reeves & mortimer' harkened from...they do use old material years after their original outing..like the Stotts appearing on the current shooting stars..wish they'd bring back the living carpets & turnip & talc..my two faves!

@RevolTees Yeah, add to it the fact that The Big Night Out DVD seemed to be edited by Freddie Kruger and you have a very poor product from Channel 4. They're simply workshy fops!
