  • @TheRiles589 true, It's hard for me to think of it as one though because I wasn't born soon enough to have witnessed it. I remember the Wooldridge days, but not really anything before that. But I don know that at one point KSU had more tournament wins than KU.

  • @7jsm7 It was a tradition before Frank Martin, just long dormant.

  • @7jsm7 This may been the most educated reply to what I've said yet. It's true that long-established can mean different things to different people, but look back on what I originally said. "I wouldn't say k-state has much of a tradition," not, "K-state has no tradition." I was stating an opinion. Also, if you look at college bcs football tradition as a whole, what k-state has accomplished is minute compared to the traditional "power-houses" as we've been speaking about.

  • @Spangler0903 "Long-Established" can mean different things to different people. To me K-State has been a dominant force to be reckoned with since Snyder took over. He has been our head coach for a lot of years and that translates to a long time, thus it is a long established custom, and therefore a tradition. I would not consider K-State basketball a tradition yet, but when Frank Martin nears the end of his career I would most certainly call K-State Basketball a tradition.

  • @spangler0903

What are you talking about? Ksu won the fiesta bowl in 97. I think you're the one who is close minded.

  • Wow haven't looked at thin in awhile. WoundCoaster. MrCheezy. Tradition: A long-established custom or belief that has been passed on in this way. Key words "Long-Established". K-State is doing awesome, and I root them on every week, but to say they have a tradition is close-minded. As stated earlier they've not won a single bcs bowl game, and one lonely conference championship. Fortunate for them they have arguably the best coach in college football, if only he were 20-30 years younger.

  • @josh72430 Honestly, you're not getting what I'm saying, because you're not paying attention, so I SHOULD just leave it be. But, CFB is one of the few sports where "tradition" goes back well beyond 15-20 years. Does that mean that KSU and UF aren't good programs? No. But they don't have a lot of "tradition" when compared to other programs. For KSU's place in history, see: sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3846173. Good program, poor history/tradition. Pretty simple, really.

  • @MrCheezyQ You don't have much perspective if you think 15-20 years worth of good teams is not a good tradition. I would say UF has a good tradition too

  • @MrCheezyQ We get that we were pretty bad, that is not the case anymore because of Bill Snyder, K-State won't be that bad ever again. It's been awhile since those terrible days, so I'm not sure why you would even decide to bring it up, unless you are a KU fan that is butt hurt on the team you have now. Anyway, we do have a good tradition of quality football, ranked, significant teams. Maybe you don't consider it to be good, but I do and so do many others. So get your KU loving ass off of here.

  • awful "motivational" video. Whoever thought those "effects" were a good idea was not exactly the brightest chap in the room.
