I'm not a huge comic book fan, so I'd probably enjoy this, mainly because I'm the kind of guy who really likes blood and gore filled movies, video games, and comics. Infact, I'm downloading it (not buying it) right now. If only I knew where a good comic book store was, then maybe I'd become more of a comic book fan.

lol, i spent 50 bux on the hardcover of this and im a total skintflint.... i read it on the bus... then got off the bus and threw it in the bin.

lolz... dammit... thats what i get for taking a gamble and not proof reading all my comic buys.

Maybe it would be A LITTLE better if some of the deaths were more DIGNIFIED. Character deaths are supposed to signify that the story is heating up and getting BETTER, but it seems like this Ultimatum thing was poorly handled in that area.

Good point.  If you're going to kill characters, they need to have meaning, otherwise it's just a slasher film.

Or maybe that's what it's supposed to be? A slasher flick with superheroes.

Whatev. I ain't givin' them my money for this one.

I was seven years old when I read my first ultimate comic. That universe was my childhood, and it still is now, nine years later. But reading this was just fucking offensive. Loeb ruined the ultimate X-Men, Avengers, and the Fantastic Four.

At least my favorite, Spiderman, was thankfully MIA for the worst of it.

In 2001 when the Unlimate Univese came about I was16, and used it to get into comics, and for the first five years, it was really good, except for Ultimate fantastic four. But anyway, it's a shame that they turned teh Ultimate universe into this garbage. I hated Ultimatum. And I can't believe Jeph Lobe, the guy who wrote teh HUSH story arch, wrote this.

I just read Ultimatum 3 yesterday after getting the back issues of the first two out of curiosity. Maybe its because I was never really into the Ultimate line, but I liked it. I hated Ultimates 3, which I read because Joe Mad was doing it and his pencils were computer colored over, so what's the point. But, I thought it gave a sense of 'stuff can actually happen.' Some of the stuff is messed up. I'm really in Ultimate all of a sudden. What happened?

I love ultimate x-men and spiderman, and this story line alone destroyed them both. Spiderman is still going on, but it's not the same, and forget Ultimate X, its trash.

God, this book was so freaking terrible. I'm not a huge Bendis or Millar fan, but either one of them would have written something that would have been Citizen Kane compared to this.
