Yields: 12 servings
Ingredients:
2 (8oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 (8oz.) container whipped topping, thawed
1 cup strong coffee, at room temperature
1 ½ pints strawberries, stemmed and sliced; reserve some for garnish
24 ladyfingers split in half
2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
Preparation Directions:
~ In a mixer, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until well blended. Gradually fold in whipped topping to blend. Set aside.
~ Using a 13 x 9-inch baking dish place ladyfinger halves, rounded side down, in bottom of dish. Cut ladyfingers as necessary to fit dish.
~ Spoon 1/2 cup coffee evenly over ladyfingers. Top with 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture and spread evenly. Layer the strawberries over cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers, ending with cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
~ To serve; cut into squares and sift cocoa powder on top of each piece followed by reserved strawberries
