This is Bach's Gavotte No. 1
(From Cello Suite #6)

From Benjamin Verdery
Easy Classical Guitar Recital

This was for a non recital that was performed for a room full of 1 camera and
this lovely instrument from New York called Rawdon Hall.

I hope you can find it in your heart to enjoy this performance of a very lovely piece that for me serves as an uplifting what have you.

Also, there will be other pieces coming soon for your enjoyment and
I pray merriment.
For those infuriated with any of my interpretations of said pieces in the near future, let me offer my sincere confusion because I haven't even done anything yet.

Let's just hold hands and enjoy this bumpy ride together.

I'm just as scared as you are.

Sincerely yours,

X ernesto O

P.S.

Please try to refrain from negative comments, but if you insist on
disliking please begin with the phrase "I love you but, "
This way I can begin thinking of ways I can change for you.

  • If you'll slow this down, it makes a great processional piece for a wedding. I play it in the same key with a DGDGBE tuning. That keeps the bass ringing. You are in D, right?

  • @HotZTrain

I can hear this being played at a processional tempo, I will give that a try.

I have been meaning to re-record this with the addition of the Gavotte #2.

This transcription is in the key of C but I like the idea of a ringing D.

    Thank you for the suggestion.

  • Thank you for your comment and yes you have a point about playing both 1 and 2 together,

I got into learning another piece and well you know how it is, time flies.

Stay tuned there's more to come.

  • this makes me want to be sound and maybe under your fingers...

  • Very nicely played apart from a few blips. You should add in the Gavotte II; it's easier than the first part and turns this into a really substantial piece. There's a version by John Gavall.
