Here are three airchecks of 107.1 FM in Long Branch, NJ. First is WWUU "U-107" on August 15, 1981. Then we hear June 12, 1982 and they have changed calls to WMJY. By July 1987, WMJY dropped the top 40 and oldies and was a rock station. For WWUU, they appear to use the same automation used by WSTW-FM Wilimington, DE and WLYQ Norwalk, CT at the time; listen 03:07. All airchecks recorded from Philadelphia. First two received with an indoor antenna and the 1987 aircheck received via rotor TV yagi. Notice the DJ adjusts the turntable pitch at 01:19.
That "Radio Waves" track was not dubbed from another station, that's the actual recording. That song was on Roger Waters' album "Radio KAOS," which featured legendary DJ Jim Ladd throughout the album, linking the songs and story together.
