One of the most innovative cycle-friendly measures ever implemented on a roundabout of this size. A 22,000 vehicle per day roundabout with raised crossings installed on all exits and entrances to slow the vehicles down for the sake of bicycle and pedestrian safety. Malmo, along with its neighbours Copenhagen and Odense, is considered to be among the top cycling cities of Europe. A Cycling Scotland Video.

  • @MrPaddlepool I'm not a traffic engineer or anything, but in the Netherlands we have some great roundabouts, because we have more bicycles than people.

There are some videos on YT about Dutch roundabouts, they might give you inspiration or ideas.

  • Hello I am a New Zealand based traffic engineer who happens to be currently reseraching the topic of using vertical platform devices at multi-lane roundabouts. Is there any published or otherwise info I can get regarding this roundabout? I can pick up a few pointers from the audio but have many more questions to ask.

    Many thanks,

    D
