Level: Sierra de Chiapas (Part Two)
Difficulty: Normal
Secrets in this part: One
Secrets: Fifteen

Time to head indoors! I'm getting sunburn and I'm fairly sure my graphics card will be grateful for the opportunity to render something on screen without the fear of spontaneously bursting into flames.

The prospect of fighting inside is made even better by the re-introduction of the fan-favourite Flamethrower and self-favourite Sniper Rifle. It's time to take your pick of either barbecuing your enemies into submission or giving them the 'kiss-of-death' shot from the world's most ludicrously overpowered Sniper Rifle. Such weapons should only be handled by the most assured of gentlemen. I'm fairly confident that that's a title Serious Sam and I can live up to! Happy hunting!

Two of my favourite enemies also make a welcome return to spice things up a bit - namely, the Zumb'ul from Planet Ras-ad-Nyk and Cucurbito the Pumpkin respectively. They've both undergone radical design changes whilst I've been away. The Zumb'ul no longer has giant tusks sticking out of his face and Cucurbito's head now glows a bright, menacing orange. Both are easily dispatched by a single burst of Sniper Rifle fire so it's nothing to get myself worked up about.

For now anyway...

----------------------------------------

Secret Eleven: 5:55 - 6:38. Eventually, you will reach a corridor with crushing pillars. When you do, turn around and head down the dark corridor to find Mental's Secret Room. Jump on the letters in this order: M, E, N, T, A, L.
After this, the wall on the opposite side will slide away to reveal a Heart power-up.

If you don't bounce on the letters in the right order, the spiked ceiling above will slowly lower and you may end up impaling yourself on it.

  • So do u play the levels tons before recording? or u just played the game so much, u know when, and where they spawn? cause u pro

  • @rawrbot1234 Little bit of both. I always do dummy runs of a level first before recording so then I know which is the best weapon to use in a given situation. It also allows me to memorise where and when the enemies spawn from. I do tend to improvise from time to time - that either works out for the greater good or it falls flat on its face.

I've probably played the game a little TOO much...

  • @galleyuk - Do you really love the effect of the Serious Speed when you pick it up?

  • @Nevermore2790 It's a snazzy effect, I'll admit that much!
