This video shows how to play Eraser and get Seeing Red and Butter Ninja, while also making large green matches when needed. I am still uncertain whether going for Seeing Red/Butter Ninja is a good Eraser strategy most of the time, or only occasionally, but on this song it works reasonably well, even though one might expect it not to due to the block layout. In any case, it is a bit difficult to pull off, so there are some serious blunders in this video, but not many, and the final score is still quite decent (almost 1.1M)

The song is an Audiosurf radio song called "Linear gravity" by "DjSimos"

  • Once you know the block layout of a song, getting SR/BN should be pretty easy. It's totally possible to do (and still get a good score).

Knowing the block layout certainly helps in some ways, but I don't think it particularly helps with SR/BN - unless you memorize every single match (in this run I only memorized the start, and had a general concept of the rest). The problem is that even small mistakes (like 0:55) can lead to an unclean match, completely erased blocks, or a loss of the boni, and they happen more easily, since all reds and yellows need to be coordinated in addition to the current match colors.

  • also remember with eraser erasing a block counts towards SR or BN and with point it counts picking up the block not placing it.

so SR and BN are very doable with eraser

  • @RazaeriaAS The fortunate thing about that is when the blocks change for each run, they don't change so much that you can't memorize it. It's helped me keep up with most of my songs on elite. Thank you surf engine for not making it THAT difficult.

  • der schluss ab der 5. minute is geil gemacht :D
