Robert Plant Monkey Band of Joy Albuquerque NM new song Monkey. This song was very heavy but not in a hard rock way. It was very Pink Floyd soundingish. The concert was ok but very Twangy, little to Loud, and it was very much like the Raising Sand tour very Country Music show. Even the Zeppelin and Plant solo stuff was countryed up. I liked it but someone expecting a Rock show would not be happy. I herd mixed reactions to show some hated it, and others loved it. Me I expected a more rock show this time since it was the new Band Of Joy, but it was basically Allison Krausse sound continued. But good show. Waited an hour and 15mins for rain and lightning delay. After storms it was about 80% full. I give show a B. But this new song Monkey really stood out as the Highlight of the night. Can't wait to hear the studio version. Will upload other songs soon. There are a few new songs too. You can see setlists online for tour, but this show he did not do Gone Gone Gone as listed on tour setlist maybe via delay. Robert Plant is still the best. Cool Floyd sound. Oh I suggest everyone go see Rush in concert this summer this show was the best ever for all you Hard Rock classic seekers wow A+++++++++ show. Sorry camera was blurry so could not zoom in not sure whats wrong but it's better than nothing I reckon.

Robert has grown up and left the "heavy" style behind -- he's deeply into the subtler aspects of the American music that's always been his inspiration, and I'm sure he wants avoid becoming an embarrassing "oldies act" like so many of his generation.

Then again, I never cared much for "the heavy guitars, drums, & his high screams" -- I prefer masterful, tasteful playing, nuanced, professionally executed rhythms, and rich, soulful voices, all of which Band Of Joy delivers!
