The world is weighed down by financial, economic and social crises. The G20 summit in London promised reform of the financial system. What progress has been made on this promise? And what of those citizens affected by unemployment. Euronews talked to France's Economy Minister Christine Lagarde about what she thinks of the outlook for her country and for others.

  • @cometatavieso haha you're fucked

  • is a shame that france still in this position of put another french person to be a candidate to de IMF, we cant take a nother french, is a stupid thing everybody knows that dominique is french and taking another person from this country is illigaly, is lots of corrupccion in the IMF. what the internacional MFI is put somebody diferent from another country, we do not want another french person is lots of hipocresy. NO MORE FRENCH NO MORE FRENCH OR BOYCOTT FRANCE,

  • i like Christine Lagarde. she sounds smart.

  • Uzibit, maybe because of two aspects:

1- the UK and France took the lead, approx. at the time of the Lehman brothers bankruptcy, being by far more interventionist than the US government

2- hearing others' perspective is always good, isn't it?

    Kind rgds

  • Why focus on France? I thought it was the UK and the USA that are having the real problems.

  • I really hope Lagarde and Sarkozy can deliver some hard-hitting liberalizing reforms before their term ends. France needs som long-term invigorating; free up labor markets, cut subsidies and price controls, make it easier to establish and close businesses. Reform is way overdue.
