Went to the doctor about a sore throat, chest pain, and discharge, thinking I'd be in and out of the office in no time. Thankfully the doctor was thorough and found that I have a short cervix, which puts me at high risk for preterm labor. Rowen (the baby) is perfectly fine. God is in control. Keep us in your prayers, as one can never have too many of those going up!

  • Thanks everyone. It is pretty awesome to have a support system that I have never met, which only means more prayers and positive thoughts, on top of our family and friends. No one can ever have too many ppl on their side, and I thank you all for keeping up with the videos, praying, and commenting. I just now figured out how to comment back to ppl, so forgive my ignorance this is all pretty new to me, and Derek usually handles all the computer stuff. Thanks again :)

  • I would try not to worry about it. I am 26 weeks pregnant too and my cervix was 50%-75% effaced at 19 1/2 weeks. It has stayed the same since. I have been taking it a little easy around the house. I also have contractions all the time. Any where between 3-7 minutes apart and they will be regular for hours on end. My doctor sent me home from the hospital twice because my contractions haven't bothered my cervix much since. Just take it easy.

  • My thoughts & prayers r with u & ur baby. I would like to share that u CAN deliver a baby safely as ours was born at 28 wks & is a healthy fiesty 16 yr old now. She was born w/ a stomach problem that for the 1st 10 yrs of her life she required meds to speed up her metabolism & has asthma. She was 2 lbs & has led a normal healthy life. We live in an amazing world of medicine & they know so much more than even when my munckin was born. Take care of yourself & remember ALL will be fine. Congrats

  • Awww, sorry to hear about that!! I'll keep you in my thoughts and I am sure everything will work out totally fine!! I found out early on that I was high risk for blood clots and it changed how I had to treat my entire pregnancy (including my labor and delivery - I have to be induced) but it's actually been really good just through keeping positive thoughts, etc!! I agree with your hubby, your child will change the world!! :D

  • Love your vids guys!! You guys are adorable! I will keep you guys in my thoughts & prayers. =)
