As safety continues to be our first priority, we have restored approximately 55,000 of the original 68,800 homes and businesses that loss power due to Fridays inland hurricane. We made outstanding progress overnight and will not rest until the job is complete. We are monitoring the forecasted wind and weather advisories for Southern Illinois as well as the rest of the state and preparing to respond as necessary. Unfortunately, strong winds could cause existing broken branches and limbs to result in customers experiencing new outages.

With a workforce of greater than 2,100, all remaining circuits have been assigned for completion. Currently, the remaining 13,000 outages are spread throughout numerous communities, two counties and more than 100 circuits.
