  • I am not sure how the recording was done. I imagine it was an attempt at some sort of a stereo sound where they recorded with two microphones into two separate channels. As far as I know, these recordings are not available.

  • @chaos97 Yes, that surely sounds like a double chanter to me. There was a piper in Chicago when I was a kid, believe his name was Joe Shannon- he owed a set with a metal double chanter. Try the Irish Tradition Music Archive (ITMA, Dublin) They have a number of interest piping things up on their site and could probably tell you where to find more records like this.

  • are these recordings made with a double chanter? i only knew of the track on the Drones and Chanter being done with it. are there more of these? are they available on any online library/archive?
