  • What came first? ufo or xcom?

  • @The115Dolphin X come came first!

  • @The115Dolphin But to confuse things a little bit, the original X-com was actually called UFO in some parts of the world (or rather UFO: Enemy unknown)

  • @AFnord indeed.

  • Know what always confuses me about this game.

If your planet is threatened by aliens why would anyone care about money? you'd think that they would scrap the entire system until they beat the threat.

  • @SupComRaiden2 good point actualy...but maybe they wat to keep it secret

  • @SupComRaiden2 Well it is kinda like the whole concept of having to buy weapons in a zombie apocalypse from some guy, you would think that he would help you out and give you free ammo at least but instead you have to buy stuff it is just a game mechanic

  • @8Nifon8 Both were developed by MicroProse. Published by different companies. Like I said, X-Com: UFO Defense is UFO: Enemy Unknown.

  • @KuramaBingyi91 Those games developed by different companies. X-com is x-com.

  • Is it just me or was the dynamite stolen form Fallout? :)

  • @SupComRaiden2 There are alien sympathisers. damn dirty hippies.

  • @tarkalak Really doesn't even make sense.

UFO is X-COM. X-COM is UFO. The main title screen after the introduction of the Steam "X-COM: UFO Defense" even says "UFO: Enemy Unknown." They're both the same game.

  • I'm -really- considering buying this game, but I don't know if I want Extraterrestrials or Afterlight. I read reviews of both claiming that they're both excellent "successors" to UFO Defense/Enemy Unknown.

  • @The115Dolphin Well, strictly speaking UFO comes first. Then X-com comes and kicks his/her/its/whatever ass. No UFO, no X-com.
