11yr old sings in talent show as character from animated movie and becomes an animation herself.

Song: Colors of the Wind

Character: Pocahontas

Movie: Disney's Pocahontas

Original Singer: Judy Kuhn -this is the version from the movie itself - not the pop version by Vanessa Williams, later covered so beautifully by Danielle White. (not the Vanessa Hudgens one either)

Costume: From Simplicity Historic Young Native American Dress pattern #5448. Belt from thriftshop.

In each talent show appearance, this child always performs something from the movies.
She chooses her own songs, designs her own costumes and is her own vocal coach with her own vocal style.

♥ Special thanks to Cynthia Holmes for her 'Otters Holding Hands' cameo appearance.

If you comment please keep in mind she is only 11 years old here and NOT professionally coached. She put together the perfomance herself, & gave creative input into the way it was animated.

  • Did anyone else get chills? I'm VERY impressed. Plus, it takes a lot of courage to get on stage at that age. I could see her being famous.

  • i love it but i hate how she kinda sings it faast? but VERY GOOD (:

  • she tries too much and it makes it sound bad

  • It kinda makes me mad how shes impersonating Pocahontas and pocahontas was singing to a person that was lighter than she was!....anyway I would'nt be brave enough to sing on stage soo good job!!

  • Here's a tip: Hold some of the words, make it last then it will be very good. Good job anyway

  • When i first watched this video, i expected that maybe you did not have much vocal experience, yet when i watched a more mature video, i found there to still be some of the key issues here: First off, do not rush through the words. Let them last, and make an impression. Sing from your diaphragm and breathe, deeply not shallowly. And watch your transitions from low to higher notes, let them come gradually and not sharp like. It tends to cause a squeal sound. Good Luck.

  • She's really good. I like the effects on this video too.

  • She did really well for an 11 year old and that song is not always the easiest to sing.... I sang it for a choir concert in high school and I still had difficulties so good job young lady.... Keep on singing and practicing.

  • amazing
