HELLO CLEVELAND
-
I'm sure lots of bands have had this happen to them. The direct inspiration of this scene was supposedly footage of Tom Petty walking onto what he thought was the stage but was actually an indoor tennis court.

"We don't have enough time for that."
-
beautiful. classic scene.
-
This supposedly ACTUALLY happened to Dee Snider.
-
"You go right straight through this door right here, down the hall, turn right, and then theres alittle jog there about 30 feet. Jog to the left, go straight ahead, turn right the next two corners, then first door the sign Authorized Personel Only, open that door and thats the stage "
... (few seconds later) "You must have made a wrong turn"

ROCK N ROLL!! this was the part of the film that made me laugh the most
-
This actually happened to my first band, The Ballistics, a Psychobilly outfit, supporting Fucking Twisted Sister, at Festival Hall in Brisbane in 84 or threreabouts, totally mis matched gig and they sucked . . . . mind you. three thousand denim clad big hairs thought we were pretty average, after the first of our songs, The Munsters Theme, all you could hear was all three thousand of them screaming as one . . . FUCK OFF, FUCK, FUCK OFF . . . strange night, our sound tech fell asleep at 130 db !

I get this lost everytime I go to Manhattan by myself. EVERY TIME.
