Okay, so this is like the third or fourth jealous-of-James video to come out in the last month.

I got the idea for this video after watching thoughtswopurpose's "Lillian" video, mainly because I loved the idea of using Jena Malone and Patrick Fugit as a young Lily and Sirius. So, I started working on this.

It's been pretty slow going because I have only limited patience with vidding, and I'm still learning how to use Vegas, so it takes me longer to do things than it used to with WMM. Ah, the price of quality. Anyway, both PygmyPuff and Jae_14 released their own visions of this concept before mine was finished, but I'm deciding to release this anyway, even though both of theirs were really good and mine doesn't really add much.

I used Jake Gyllenhaal in "Donnie Darko" for my James, mainly 'cause I wanted to see if I could get away with it. Just pretend that James was vain and wouldn't wear his glasses.

The basic concept is based off a line in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", when Etta turns to Paul Newman and asks, "Butch, do you ever wonder if I'd met you first, we'd have been the ones to get involved?" I love that line, 'cause it acknowledges the reality of timing in relationships. Anyway, this is a similar concept here. Lily finds herself tempted by Sirius, even though she's in love with James. It should be pretty easy to discern the basic story from the clips.

The video is structured in two parts, and takes place before the war with Voldemort. The past is shown with a hint of sepia, the present is in color, and memories are in black and white. Also, there's a bit at the end which is supposed to show James and Lily's wedding.

that was *great*! I absolutely loved it, because I actually felt the video, as though the conflict for all of them was real; not like those stupid "oh, hermine can'et chuse between ron and HaRry" vids. The editing was superb without being overdone; GREAT job! You actually turned me into a bit of a "Silly"!
