This was on a old VHS tape I had recorded in 1995 from the Discovery Channel.
I have cleaned up the audio & cropped the video.

In 1995, Renault displayed a show car called the Espace F1 (created by Matra) to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Espace and Renault's involvement in Formula One racing. It was based on a V10-powered Williams Formula 1 racing car with an Espace J63 body reinforced with lightweight carbon-fibre instead of the glass fibre of the standard model. The Renault-Williams engine powered it from 0200 km/h (0124 mph) in 6 seconds, and helped by the carbon-ceramic brakes, it did 0270 km/h (0168 mph) and back to 0 in under 600 metres (1,969 ft). This version of the Espace was featured in the driving simulator, Gran Turismo 2.

  • Nice video! Funny, but I also had this recorded on VHS, long long time ago, probably '95. too, and I watched this over and over again... :) This takes me back to my childhood! :) :D

Damn, how hat was in these days to get some of materials like this.... :)

  • One of the Espace F1s has 4 seats.

  • @blainyrules

yes it should be faster supervan 2 had v6 f1 engine while super van 3 had v8 f1 engine. also supervan 3 was more aerodynamic then supervan 2.

  • @octoslut Oh I knew they took the V8 out of the Supervan 3, but if it still had it, I'm guessing it would be faster?

  • @windowspiratato

Alfa-Romeo 164 Procar is the biggest troll car ever.

  • @blainyrules

not turbo charged regular f1 engine, supervan 2 is faster then current supervan because they removed the f1 engine from supervan 3 and replaced it with regular v6.

  • @octoslut I've not seen the Supervan 2, does it have a turbocharged F1 engine or something?

  • @blainyrules

supervan 2 was faster then supervan 3.
