Featured on http://www.robots-dreams.com - Taylor Veltrop, more well known for his work with humanoid robotics, also likes to create robots using LEGO Mindstorms. This particular multi-legged/multi-wheeled creation is capable of climbing stairs and moving across other difficult terrain totally autonomously. Taylor demonstrated the robot at Robot Japan First, held April 10, 2011 in Tokyo.

You might be able implement this design into motorized wheelchairs. A lot of wheelchair bound people live in homes with stairs that currently use elevators or other devices. This could prove useful and save them money. I can't imagine how much an elevator must cost to have in your home.

@NewSimpleadams Japan got together 14-15million dollars in relief money for Hurricane Katrina. So yes, they did help. Stop being an insensitive jerk.

@f0615388 Well, I'm pretty sure if there was an earthquake in America the Japanese people would care less. So why should i donate?
NewSimpleadams 11 months ago
@NewSimpleadams You say they should help, yet how many times have you ever donated to Disasters reliefs, or to charity? This is a pointless discussion.

@WodeBolder Well you're on YouTube aswell and no i shouldnt, i live in America not in Japan... so not my problem. But they do live in Japan so they COULD help but instead they build tiny little lego robots =]

@WodeBolder Jeez, so much unnecessary aggression.

@NewSimpleadams shouldn't you be doing the same? instead of sitting on youtube? at least playing around with robots might have some practical application some day,,
