it is a green lemon also known as lime .you can cut the lemon into half and poke a fork and hold one half in your left hand and move the fork with the right hand , squeeze the half lemon as you move the fork at the same time, all the juice will come out nicely. no need to cut this way or that way.

@superangel207 We have been cutting this way and found it the best way. Your way is good way for juice. I agree with you but if I want to show the pieces for decor or for other reason, then we need to serve the pieces. Thank you for your comment
