@J0113

It's even sadder to know, if you read any of the comic books, Obi-Wan played a role in the creation of a second Sith Lord: Darth Krayt from the Legacy Comics

One advantage to the Prequels is now you know Ben's story: He's High General Obi-Wan Kenobi, Commander of the Open Circle Armada and Third Systems Army, member of the Jedi High Council, the Destroyer of Darth Maul and General Grievous, hero of the Clone Wars, Survivor of the Great Jedi Purge, and master of Form III Lightsaber Combat, and we finally can get an idea as to what he's thinking in this scene, thinking back to the adventures he had with Anakin and his failure to prevent Anakin's fall

@brickman73
He was a really good actor, if you've seen his other work. He just takes his roles and makes you believe who he is is who he is. You forget it's Alec Guinness. It's like he actually is an old Jedi.

All this, and I am willing to bet you that Alec Guiness did not know even half of that at the time he played Obi-Wan. Goes to show you how terrific an actor he is.

Prolly because he crapped his pants during the cantina scene *due to illness* and Lucas wouldn't let him change it.

There are 2 answers to this, one is Obi-Wan possibly didn't pay any mind to R2, R2 droids are dime a dozen, the other answer is he did indeed recognize him but didnt bring it up

@nejixnaruto More then likely he did recognize him, but didn't bring it up out of fear it would cuase Luke to ask too many questions

The answer is that Obi-Wan is half lieing, he's speaking of what the Anaking he knew WOULD HAVE wanted not what he ACTUALLY wanted
