FYI thats not a hook kick. It's some combination of a spinning axe kick and a spinning in to out crescent kick. In a hook kick the foot is parallel to the floor, and it actually "hooks" ie snaps at the point it strikes the target. It is an "open hip" kick. A closed hip is how your hip is when you raise your leg directly in front of you. An open hip is when you raise your leg to the side. The kick you are performing is closed hip. Look at other hook kicks posted on youtube for advice.

ya your right, but I'm a trickster, not a martial artist.
I don't want my kicks to be practical. I guess a crescent would be accurate, but in tricking combo's hook sounds better.
