@RAFAOUTNOW Different players though. Lucas from a defensive point of view is on another level - his reading of the game, tackling ability, 50/50's, pressing - its all top class. Song is a good footballer but so often leaves the defence exposed. I'll put it this way - Lucas over the last 2 seasons has the most tackles in the league by a distance while Song is one of the most dribbled past players in the league. And Lucas is quite decent technically imo

@1860Gibbo Cldn't agree with that,Song averages more successful through balls per game then any other player in the league....,look at his assist v Spurs for Walcotts 2nd goal and for Van Persie against Dortmund..Lucas never does anything like that..1 assist in 3 years,1 goal in 3 years..he's a coward of a player,only passes it sideways and backwards...Cldn't lace the boots of Alonso or Gerrard when he plays there..Gerrard tackles and gets forward,Lucas is so limited..

@mangaway Yes,since he's been out we've beaten Man City,Newcastle AND Man Utd and won the Carling cup..We kept clean sheets against Spurs,Villa,Qpr and Wigan(he played last year against Spurs(h),Villa(a) and Wigan(a) and we conceded and we conceded 3 at Man City AND 3 at Old Trafford last season when Lucas played.)....How the hell have we missed him?...He doesn't score,create or beat players...Skrtel(a central defender)has more goals this season then Lucas has in his career..Awful Player..

@jatras1234 -Adam has goals against Bolton,WBA,Wolves and Man City and assists against Bolton,Chelsea,QPR and Wolves(2)...that's more in January of his first season then Lucas,Mascherano in their entire careers COMBINED...and he also tackles,imagine that,a midfielder who defends and attacks...Lucas is a coward of a footballer,Spearing did more in 1 game against Spurs then this useless tool has in his career....Doesn't shoot,pass forward,create..we haven't missed him since his injury
