1992 Chevy 2500 start up

Starting the truck first time of the day. 6.5 turbo diesel with "4911" mechanical pump. Had 250k on the motor at the time.

sorry to tell all you lol but if this truck is a 1992 with a diesel its a 6.2L non turbo diesel.

Wrong! 1992 was the first year of the 6.5 turbo diesel. 92-93 were mechanical pumps and in 94' they switched to electronic pumps.

If it was a 6.2 non turbo then how the truck had a turbo mounted on the passenger side engine???

the 6.5 came out in 92 but you could only get them in 3/4 tons and 1 tons same for 93

I have a 94 chevy 2500 w/238,388 miles on it and she is still a champ.

Its a 6.5. The 6.2 didnt get that type of turbo setup on it. In fact very few 6.2s got turbos at all. I am shocked to see the tach doesnt go red until 4500 rpm tho.
