A video review of the Nokia N900 Maemo smartphone. This is Nokia's first Linux based Maemo 5 smartphone. It's unlocked GSM quad band with EDGE and it has 3G on T-Mobile's US bands and Euro 3G. The N900 has Cortex A8 CPU with 3D graphics acceleration, a 5 megapixel camera, 800 x 480 pixel touch screen, QWERTY keyboard and 32 gigs storage. It also has GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. • Is this phone worth buying atm ?

  • Ive had this phone for 2 years now, I normally upgrade every year, last year I passed over the upgrade because nothing new could match the N900 for simple balls to the wall getting the job done. I can be browsing the FULL internet, keep it running in the back ground while streaming a video from another site and then sent a text and then make a call all at the same time and the phone wont even slow. I'm coming up to upgrade this year now and I cant honestly think of anything thats a huge step fwd

  • @07liberian so u say nokia has bad cameras

  • i woud like to have a grandmother like her

  • @TheCrystalanimation I own this phone and to be honest I wouldnt bother getting it (it is 2yrs old now)

It still only supports flash 9.4 which isnt much of a problem but most videos run like slide shows (youtubes good on it though). The phone can be overclocked but it kills the battery, im lucky to get 4hrs out of it running @ 950mhz and thats just surfing the net a bit on 3g while im at work.

lastly it has a resistive screen which means you have to tap the screen quite hard to get it to respond

  • why cant they say nokia properly D:

  • Will probably buy this used for about a hundred euro.

  • @MobileTechReview thank you.
