Nice job. Cannonball was one of the greats, and is too often overlooked when considering jazz legends. Same w/his brother Nat, who was a great cornet player.

Those licks and phrasing are Cannonball's not sim833's. He is playing a transcribed solo. Not to put his playing down, but credit should not be where credit is not due.
Overall pretty nice work. I will say that if you work on the articulation that cannonball uses on his 16th notes, then it would swing a LOT harder. His phrasing mostly (with a lot of exceptions of course) tongue-tongue-slur-slur.

Good work-I think his solo(and the entire album featuring 'Work Song')is sadly inderated.Hope you've heard 'Never Will I Marry'(The Pollwinners) and 'Barefoot Sunday Blues'(Takes Charge). Essential listening-and keep going,man!
