  • There's a conspiracy afoot...bands noted for influence among the modern dance indie post punk movement range from the smiths, the cure, joy division, echo and the bunnymen, the psychadelic furs, among others...If you ask me, I hear "The Sound" in the modern indie post punk music of today more than any of the other bands i've just mentioned (with a few exceptions here and there...

  • Soooooooo Very gooood! You can hear me in the' Hothouse' - I was there! The Marquee - so good. The best, the very best!

  • @jackmrspock hai ragione concordo peccato non siano molto conosciuti ma sono fantastici uno dei migliori gruppi degli anni '80

  • for some reason jeopardy really had a big impact on me when i found it this morning. good album for when you feel like you want to let things out, mostly depression, melancholia, anxiety. makes you feel relieved of all that.

  • the sound will live forever: they'er unique and once in a lifetime.

  • @dayeekiiins

    i totally agree with you

  • @dayeekiiins and the chameleons they are overlooked too

  • Avrei dato non so cosa per poterli vedere Live!!!! Uno dei migliori gruppi !!!

  • Great tune.

  • New Order (circa Power, Corruption, and Lies) is who i hear everywhere too. But people tend to inadvertently give New Order's credibility to Joy Division.

  • I agree with both of you wholeheartedly. I have to do musical double-takes every time I walk into The Gap, etc., because most of the bands they play remind me of The Sound and other post-punk bands I listen to that seemingly no one else my age knows of or cares about. It makes me a sad panda that The Sound tends to get so little credit... and just that the spirit of post-punk has become so bastardized by most of these new bands and limited to strict, pre-packaged formulas.

  • Magnificent.
