  • I think you sound guys do a fantastic job in what is probably a lossed cause. The marquee is the problem in my view. It's too big, the accoustics are awful. We have taken to watching the acts in the small marqee these days and only going to the big one if there is no option. Bring back the Bridgenorth Marquee.

  • For anyone else out there reading this listen to the crowd applaud when the sound crew are acknowledged by the band. I was sitting side of stage looking at the audience and I didn't witness anyone leaving "en-masse". Please visit the festival website and watch the video of the duhks which is much better quality than this one. The sound on it is the same engineers mix. Our competition (or friends of) often leave jealous, negative comments. See you all there again this year.

  • I can assure you that the sound that night was terrible. So bad in fact that loads of people left en-masse. Which is a shame when you consider how they sounded the following day when they were awesome.

  • That's a bit of an exageration. I was the sound engineer looking after the monitor mix (what the artists were hearing) and my colleague was looking after the audience's or "front of house" mix. You can tell from this video (which was probably taken on someones phone or digital camera which aren't exactly renound for their quality recordings) that the sound wasn't terrible. The guy mixing this band has mixed the festival for years and also mixes many other festivals that you probably go to.

  • The sound was awful that night. They were fantastic the next day on the Village Stage with a competent sound engineer.
