My husband proposed to me two and a half months after we met and we were married six months later. He was 31 and well-traveled and I was 21 and clueless. That was 1980 and we're still married (not that there haven't been rough patches) but I wouldn't recommend that short of an engagement now-a-days. Things seem so much more complicated today. A lot of people aren't what they seem.
