TGTBT: JB Love Story Chapter 27

I am SO SO SO sorry, everyone! I've been so busy with school, final exams, studying, and everything else that I haven't had time to write. But, now that its summer, I'm going to have time to post. :]

An hour later, Kassidy was walking around and talking to a lot of her relatives when she caught a glimpse of someone she recognized. She thought her mind was playing tricks on her, when all of a sudden she saw him again. She started to get really worried and started looking for Jenna and Kristie. When she saw the person again, she knew it was for real. He was there. She started panicking and ran out of the room she was in when he appeared right in front of her...

???- "Hey, babe."
Kassidy- *hisses his name* "Tyler. What are you doing here?!"
Tyler- *answers coolly* "I heard you were in town and I came to get you back, baby."
Kassidy- "I haven't been your 'baby' since you beat the crap out of me years ago when we were dating."
Tyler- "C'mon. You know you miss me. I can see it in your face, in your eyes. You want me back."
Kassidy- "Actually, no, I don't. Now leave. You have no right to be here."

As Kassidy turned to walk away, Tyler grabbed her shoulder and pulled her back sharply. She felt something jab into her back. Without ever coming in contact with one in her entire life, she knew what it was instantly.
A gun...

Tyler- *says in a smooth, seductive voice* "Now, lets take this discussion to a more...private setting."

Kassidy nodded her head slowly. She glanced around anxiously as they walked toward the door. Where were her sisters?! But, they were no where to be seen.
The air outside was cool and crisp. The sun was setting and the streets were quiet.
Tyler spun Kassidy around to face him and put the gun to her chest. She knew no one inside would be worried. To them, it would probably just looked like she had met up with a friend and he was taking her outside to talk. And the anxiety could have just been played off as sorrow. This WAS her parent's funeral after all. So, what could she do to get away and call for help?

Tyler- "I told you that I want you, and I always get what I want."

Kassidy looked around warily. Could she get inside, or somewhere nearby, safely if she ran? Would he have time to aim and shoot?

Tyler- *grabs Kassidy's face and makes her look at him* "Listen to me when I'm talking!"
Kassidy- *whispers* "I wont do it again, Tyler. It's not worth it."
Tyler- *yells* "How dare you?!"

Tyler pulled his hand away and punched her in the right cheek. She fell to the pavement hard, and she soon tasted the iron taste of blood fill her mouth. She looked up at Tyler, who was walking towards her, with fear and tears in her eyes. She had been so sure she would never have to deal with this ever again.

Tyler- "Here I am, being nice and willing to let you have me back, and this is the thanks you give me? To throw it back in my face?" *lifts the gun and points it at Kassidy's head* "Well I think you're not worth keeping alive."

Kassidy squeezed her eyes shut. She knew she couldn't run. But, she didn't want to see it coming.
A million thoughts raced through her head. But, only one word stuck out, and it was the same word she screamed as she heard the gun fire.

"Kevin!"

There was silence.
Slowly, she opened her eyes and gasped.

"You called?" Kevin asked.

He was holding Tyler's arm up, keeping the fun pointed away from Kassidy. The bullet had hit a street light down the road, causing the glass to shatter and fall to the ground.
Then Kevin used his free hand to punch Tyler in the gut. Tyler stumbled back, clutching his stomach, and the gun fell to the ground. Kassidy quickly grabbed it, not wanting to give Tyler a chance to get it back.
Later the cops came and took Tyler away to his new home. Kassidy was over by the ambulance, cleaning out all the blood in her mouth. Kevin watched from a distance but then walked up to her.

Kevin- "...Hey."
Kassidy- *looks up* "Oh...hi."
Kevin- "Are you okay?"
Kassidy- *slightly smiles* "I'll be fine. Its just a little blood in the mouth."
Kevin- *smiles* "Yeah...So, who was the guy that was holding a gun to your face when I came?"
Kassidy- *flinches a little bit and sighs* "Tyler...an ex of mine. I dated him years ago for about 4 months. Worth 4 months of my life. I found out he can get violent and abusive when you piss him off. He used to be very abusive when I didn't do what he wanted me to do. He tried to force sex on me all the time, but I always refused. I finally broke it off with him before it went any further. Now, I feel better to see him getting in the back of that police car."
Kevin- *looks down* "I-I'm so sorry....that happened to you."
Kassidy- "It left me with some physical and mental scars but...I'll live." *clears her throat* "So, now that you asked a question, its my turn."
Kevin- *lifts his head and looks at her*
Kassidy- "Why...are you...here?"

That was crazy. I was just waiting for the moment when Kevin came in! I'm so glad he saved her. He came back for you, silly! He LOVES you. Haha. All right, I'm done talking now. Loved it.
