Brit makes flaky, tender croissants from scratch!
Recipe:
*Note: Begin recipe day before*
3 sticks (1 ½ c) unsalted butter
2 c unbleached all-purpose flour
1-2 c bread flour
3 T sugar
½ t salt
(2) ¼ oz. packages dry yeast
½ c warm water
1 c milk
½ c heavy cream (plus 1 T for egg wash)
1 egg
filling (optional): chocolate, jam, etc
Bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes.

  • Leave the dough in the fridge just until the butter has chilled again. Usually 45-60 mins.
